Florida Honors Charlie Kirk With “Memorial Highway” in Collier County Following Unanimous Republican Vote
A new tribute to conservative activist Charlie Kirk has officially taken shape in Florida. On October 28, 2025, Collier County commissioners voted 4–1 to designate a 15-mile portion of Immokalee Road as the “Charlie Kirk Memorial Highway,” marking a rare honor for a living figure. The resolution calls for four road signs to be installed along the stretch, commemorating the founder of Turning Point USA for his impact on youth political engagement and conservative organizing across the nation.

The move mirrors a similar recognition earlier this year in Lake County, signaling how Florida’s Republican strongholds are celebrating Kirk’s influence on the state’s political identity. Since founding Turning Point USA in 2012, Kirk has helped build one of the country’s largest grassroots conservative youth movements, claiming credit for mobilizing more than one million new right-leaning voters since 2016. His group’s activism has been particularly visible across Florida, where events, voter-registration drives, and campus tours have made Turning Point a fixture of local political culture.

For many supporters, the newly named roadway is more than a signpost — it’s a symbol of generational impact and conservative pride. In Collier County, where Trump banners still line front yards, the decision reflects an enduring gratitude toward those who shaped Florida’s red-state resurgence.
